First Companies Achieve Seal of Compliance for Open Measurement for Web Video SDK

The IAB Tech Lab’s Open Measurement for Web Video SDK (OM Web Video SDK) launched to provide a standardized way to collect and report viewability measurement in web video advertising. Viewability measurement has been a long-standing challenge in the video advertising ecosystem and OM for Web Video paves the way forward for trusted measurement on both desktop and mobile web video. So, the IAB Tech Lab extended its Open Measurement Compliance Program from in-app only to now include integration partner’s web video implementations. 

The compliance program for OM Web Video has recently seen an uptick in momentum across publishers, video players, and video ad serving platforms who want to gain the benefits of being certified for viewability measurement when running video advertisements. Today, we are happy to announce the first companies that have achieved OM for Web Video certification:

  • Dailymotion
  • Erstream
  • Ogury
  • Seven.One Entertainment Group
  • Smart Adserver
  • Smartclip

Ogury was the first company to be certified for the Open Measurement for Web Video SDK by the IAB Tech Lab.  “Thanks to the OM for Web Video SDK, we can now offer the same standard of viewability measurement for mobile web as we do in-app for our clients. Arc XP’s Video Center, a suite of cloud-based tools to create, distribute, and monetize live and on-demand video content, was recently certified enabling viewability measurement across media outlets and brands at scale. “We were thrilled to work with the IAB Tech Lab to get Arc Video Center’s web video player certified for Open Measurement compliance,” says Evan Sundwick, senior product manager for Arc XP. “Our customers are running complex, multi-channel video content strategies, and feature parity across every touchpoint with their audience means they can monetize effectively and confidently at scale.”
